The River Forest Public Library, in partnership with the Village of River Forest, will be commemorating Juneteenth. The date in 1865 when General Order #3 proclaimed the freedom of the enslaved people in Texas.
The flag-raising ceremony will take place on June 13, 2022, from 11:30–12:30 pm at the River Forest Public Library located at 735 Lathrop Avenue, River Forest, IL 60305
