The Village of River Forest has been invited to join the Chicago Police Department, federal, and state agencies on a newly formed task force aimed at combating carjacking crimes in the region. The Village is proud to be involved in this group and will actively collaborate with other law enforcement agencies.
On February 11, 2018, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel held a press conference to express support for a State bill that will aid law enforcement officials in charging carjacking offenders. River Forest Police Chief Jim O’Shea was invited to and attended this event.
