The Village of River Forest is pleased to announce that three department heads appointed by the Village President were approved by the Board of Trustees at its August 9, 2021 meeting. Rosemary McAdams was reappointed to the position of Finance Director as was James O’Shea as Police Chief. As part of a reorganization of the Public Works Department, Village Engineer Jeff Loster was promoted and appointed to the position of Director of Public Works and Development Services.
Under this reorganization, Loster’s new role will oversee both Public Works and the Building Division. This move streamlines operations and was implemented to ensure the best possible use of existing Village resources. This change will increase many efficiencies related to building and development activities throughout the Village.
“I applaud Village administration for continuing to improve the ways in which we serve our community,” said Village President Cathy Adduci. “Realignment of the Public Works Department is part of our overarching goal to continually improve operations, providing the highest quality services while utilizing existing resources and saving taxpayer money.”
“Jeff has served as the Village’s Engineer since 2013 and has done an outstanding job leading innovative projects that have improved the Village’s infrastructure,” said Acting Village Administrator Lisa Scheiner. “We are pleased he has chosen to advance his career here in River Forest.”
The appointment of all department heads within the Village, as well as the Village Administrator, have terms that run concurrently with that of the Village President. The Village is currently involved in an executive search for the next Village Administrator, and the appointment will be made once the search is concluded.
