January, 23, 2018

The River Forest Police Department is excited to announce it will be hosting the first Community Crime Prevention Meeting on Wednesday, January 24th at 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM in the River Forest Village Hall Community Room. All residents and members of the public are invited and welcome to attend. The meeting will be the first of several throughout 2018 and beyond. Please plan to join us for our next Community Crime Prevention Meetings:
  • Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM
  • Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM
The idea for this meeting came at the request of residents seeking to learn more information and become more involved in assisting the River Forest Police Department prevent, stop, and solve crime. The meetings will:
  • Provide residents with usual information related to the most common crimes in the Village.
  • Allow the Department to learn more about what residents are seeing and concerned about the most.
  • Detail the different units, divisions, and task forces of the River Forest Police Department.
  • Show some of the specialized equipment that is used.
  • Provide information on the variety of special programs and services provided by the River Forest Police Department
