COVID-19 Update

Dear River Forest Residents:

As we begin the long Labor Day weekend and gather for the end of summer barbeques and other social interactions, we ask our residents to please keep the gathering small or gather with just immediate family members. We ask our parents and residents to please refrain from hosting parties inside your home without requiring everyone to wear a face covering. Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order for face coverings and social distancing are still in place! Remember that your compliance with these rules are not only to protect you, but everyone around you including those who may have underlying health conditions.

Please click here to find out more about River Forest’s positivity rate. Our community saw a spike of positive cases from several weeks ago. On August 23, we had 12 positive cases which appeared to be because of a social gathering of high school students in the area. Again, one person that tests positive can pass the virus on to 10 other people in one social gathering.

Thank you to the entire River Forest community for continuing to support efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and wash your hands so River Forest can play, work, learn, shop, and live safely.
