A Special E-News Message from the Village President, Catherine Adduci
Curfew in Effect 9PM Tonight
Due to the ongoing civil crisis in the Chicago Metropolitan area, I have declared a curfew to match the City of Chicago’s. The curfew is in effect between the hours of 9PM and 6AM for the Village of River Forest. Please stay inside your home and be safe. Essential workers are exempt from the curfew.
The City of Chicago and other surrounding communities have experienced vandalism and looting in commercial and retail areas. Our River Forest Police Department and other Village personnel are on site to address this developing situation.
River Forest Police are in communication with law enforcement agencies throughout the region, sharing information and working together to manage road closures and other measures to maintain order and safety.
