Easier-to-use, visually-richer, and mobile-friendly
The Village is launching a new website on Monday, December 11, 2017. You will still be able to find it at vrf.us, but with a new look, and better experience on a variety of devices, including smartphones and tablets.
The site was designed with input from residents, businesses, boards, and commissions in the Village, emphasizing easier navigation. The new site is organized in these main areas:
- Departments & Services. Administration & Finance, Building & Zoning, Fire, Police, and Public Works, along with the services offered by each of these departments.
- Boards & Commissions. The Village Board, and all other boards and commissions.
- Pay & Apply. Payment links, permit applications, and other forms.
- Life in River Forest: Guides to various services and programs offered by the Village, in a convenient and one-stop-shop format.
- News: Community news and announcements.
- Calendar: Events, including board meetings and associated agendas.
There are also shortcuts on every page to frequently-accessed features, such as the Agendas & Minutes, News & Alerts, Service Requests, and the Staff Directory.
