Stabbing Under Investigation, Arrest Made

RIVER FOREST, IL   River Forest Police responded to a report of a stabbing on February 4, 2025, at 1:53PM, at an apartment building at 7200 Oak Street. An argument between neighbors and guests turned violent. A victim was stabbed during the argument and was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in critical condition. The offender was located in his vehicle a short time later in the area of the 7300 block of Ogden Avenue just west of Harlem Avenue, with the assistance of law enforcement agencies in the area. The offender, Tristan Jackson, 28, of the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard, Oak Park, was identified by witnesses and placed under arrest.

The victim has been upgraded to stable condition as of February 4, 2025, 5:10PM. On February 6, 2025, the Cook County State’s Attorney Felony Review Unit approved one count of Attempted Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery.  This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public and their safety.
