Congratulations to our local River Forest winners of the 2019 One Earth Film Festival Young Filmmakers Contest! Andrew Edwards of Roosevelt Middle School won first place in the Middle School category for his film “The Turmoil of Palm Oil” about food and open space/ecosystems. Lily Kleps of Lincoln Elementary School received an honorable mention in the Elementary School category for her film “What a Waste!” about food and waste. Tori Robinson-Thomas of Grace Lutheran School received an honorable mention in the Middle School category for her film “Our Water Crisis” about water. These winner were honored at the May 28th, 2019 Village Board of Trustees meeting. Please watch these short films below.
