The Village of River Forest will hold a written examination on Saturday, May 18, 2019 to establish an eligibility list for the position of Entry Level Police Officer.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at the time of application and the date of posting of the Final Eligibility Register unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in the Fire and Police Commissioners Act. Proof of birth date will be required at the time of application.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor Degree in any discipline or an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement from an accredited College or University.
- An Applicant may participate in the Orientation and Written Examination if he or she does not possess the requisite degree but must demonstrate enrollment in a degree program at an accredited College or University at the time of application and demonstrate reasonable progress to achieving the requisite degree prior to June 2021.
- Applicants must submit proof that they have passed the Illinois Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) Test since May 18, 2019.

Applications Due: April 19, 2019, 4:00 p.m. - Application must be returned to the River Forest Village Hall with all supporting and required documentation in an 8.5” x 11” envelope. You must include the $30.00 non-refundable application fee (credit cards are not accepted).
