Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission of the Village of River Forest, Cook County, Illinois will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the first floor Community Room at the Village of River Forest Village Hall, 400 Park Avenue, River Forest, Illinois 60305 to consider and make a recommendation to the Village President and Board of Trustees on a comprehensive update to the Village of River Forest’s Comprehensive Plan.
The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to guide present and future development, redevelopment and growth of the Village, in addition to establishing a long-range vision for the entire Village. The Village President and Board of Trustees forwarded this matter to the Plan Commission for findings of fact and a recommendation. The updates were prepared by Houseal Lavigne Associates, the Village Planner.
During the public hearing, the Plan Commission will hear testimony from, and consider any evidence presented by, persons interested to speak on this matter. Any person who wishes to appear as an objector or supporter with the right to present evidence and/or cross-examine witnesses at the hearing must file an appearance with the Village at the hearing, or before the date of the hearing, to the Deputy Village Clerk, Village of River Forest, 400 Park Avenue, River Forest, Illinois 60305.
The proposed updated Comprehensive Plan will be on file with the Village Clerk and may be reviewed by writing to the Deputy Village Clerk at the address above. It can be examined in person at the Village Hall, or viewed on the Village's website at www.vrf.us/comprehensive-plan.
The draft updated Comprehensive Plan may be added to, revised, altered or eliminated as a result of the public hearing and prior to final action by the Corporate Authorities of the Village of River Forest. The public hearing may be continued from time to time without further notice.
