A Concordia student was approached by two offenders who were armed and demanded the student’s purse. The offenders have not yet been located.
The River Forest Police Department responded to a robbery in the 1100 block of Monroe Avenue on Monday, December 5 at noon. The victim, a Concordia University student, was approached by two offenders. One of them brandished a handgun and demanded the student’s purse. The offenders fled with the victim’s purse.
Both offenders fled the area in a 4-door black sedan headed southbound on Monroe. The victim is shaken but was not physically armed in the incident.
River Forest Police are pursuing all avenues to locate the offenders. If members of the public have any information, or have a front door camera that is located in this area, please contact Detective Justin Labriola at 708-366-7125, ext. 322.
