The Village of River Forest will once again host a section of the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride on Thursday, June 21, 2018. The ride starts at 9:30 am near Chicago and Thatcher and will wind through River Forest and other surrounding communities. The River Forest Police Department and River Forest Fire Department will assist in the event.
Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that works to honor and empower wounded service members returning home with a multitude of medical issues, and helps them readjust to civilian life. This year marked the 11th Annual Chicago area Soldier Ride.
