A business license will allow you to conduct business in the Village of River Forest.
Applications can be submitted to the Village Administrator's Office for review. Certain specialty licenses such as a food handler’s license are included on the business license application. If applying for a food handler license please provide proof of your State Food Service Sanitation Certificate along with the application. While there are no fees in addition to the registration fee, a Food Protection Manager Certification from the Illinois Department of Public Health and a signed certificate of understanding is required for home kitchen operations. If using a commercial kitchen, a supplemental application is required.
Before a license can be issued the Village Administrator's Office will verify your business is permitted for your proposed location.
Business License Renewals will be mailed in mid March and will be valid May 1–April 30 of each year. Or complete the application below and submit to the Village.
