As of June 1, 2025 River Forest property owners are billed for their water and sewer usage on a bi-monthly basis at the following rates:
- Water: $7.85 per 100 cubic feet
- Sewer: $4.69 per 100 cubic feet
**The combined water and sewer rate has been increased by 1.13% ($0.14 cents per 100-cubic feet). The new combined water and sewer rate is $12.54 per 100-cubic feet.**
The increase is based on the city of Chicago rate increases.
Every household must have a $45 deposit on file for water and sewer service. The deposit is billed on your first water bill. Water and sewer bills also contain the bi-monthly solid waste collection fee. (See Refuse & Recycling)
