1st Annual River Forest Community Bike Exchange
Please join your fellow River Forest residents at the 1st Annual River Forest Community Bike Exchange. It is being held on Saturday April 17 at Roosevelt Middle School from 10am to 1pm.
There are four ways to participate in the 1st Annual River Forest Community Bike Exchange:
- Bring a bike or bike accessory that has been outgrown or is no longer in use and drop it off and exchange it for another bike. Yay!
- Bring a bike or bike accessory that has been outgrown or is no longer in use and drop it off. Thank you so much!
- Bring yourself and a donation (recommendation of $5-$25 cash or Venmo) and leave with your new-used bike or bike accessory! Another yay!
- Bring your bike and register it with the Village of RF Police Department and get your license sticker right then and there. Pretty great!
No matter which way you choose to participate, please do choose to wear a mask.
The best way to make this event the most successful is if you can drop off your bike on April 11, 15, or 16 at 730 Lathrop Avenue in advance so that we can have the bikes sorted and organized for the start of the event. When you drop off a bike, we will log it, so that when you arrive at the event, we will know that you have already given a donation. Additionally, you can show up with a bike to exchange on the day of the event.
Any leftover bikes will be donated to Working Bikes. Learn more here: https://workingbikes.org
All funds collected will be donated to It's Our Future - Seven Generations Ahead.
This event is brought to you in partnership with D90 Green4Good and the Village of River Forest Sustainability Commission.
