Brookfield Zoo, in partnership with the Ilinois EPA and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, is hosting Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. See flyer for details on types of waste being collected.
As an added bonus, textiles, which are not considered hazardous waste, will be collected and donated. Textiles include: backpacks, bedspreads and quilts, sheets, blankets, belts, clothing items, curtains, handbags, hats, pairs of shoes, plush toys, sofa covers, tote bags, towels and washcloths.
