Financial Information/Documents

The Finance department maintains information about the following:

Building Permits

All building permits which required a Village inspection are included are included in the list of issued permits by the Building + Zoning department.

Business Licenses

Business licenses can be searched in the Village's online permitting dashboard. Once registered, users can search for business licenses by selecting license, then business license under case type, then select license issued under current status, then select the date range. Village Board Meetings

The Village Board meets on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall Community Room. Agendas, Packets that accompany the agendas, and Minutes are posted online.

Department Information

Each month the Building & Zoning, Finance, Fire, Police, and Public Works Departments submit monthly reports to the Village Board. The reports are available for viewing in the monthly Village Board packets.

Water Quality Reports

Each year the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency requires the Village to publish a Water Quality Report. Click the links below to view past reports:

Lobbying

The Village Board and Village Administrator's Office closely monitor legislation at the local, state and federal levels to stay abreast of issues that may affect the community. The Village President is the official spokesperson of the Village in all political and legislative affairs. The Village of River Forest is a dues paying member of several associations that may conduct legislative advocacy initiatives at the state and federal levels. These associations include West Central Municipal Conference, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and Illinois Municipal League.

Red Light Cameras

The Village has installed Red Light Cameras at the following intersections (map of camera locations):

Below is the avable evaluation reports. Please note that the availbility of statistical analysis reports is contingent on crash data being released to the public by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

  1. North Avenue at Harlem (Eastbound on North)
  2. Harlem Avenue at Lake Street (Southbound on Harlem)

IMRF Employer Cost & Participation Information

In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504. The law requires that the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) post certain employer cost and participation information on its website and that municipal websites share a link to that information.
